How many washrooms should I have on my campsite? How big should they to be?
The installation of sanitary facilities on campsites must comply with several types of regulations: town planning and building regulations, sanitary regulations, accessibility and safety regulations. For the number of washrooms on campsites, there are minimum ratios between the number of guests and the facilities available. As an indication:
- One washroom for every 20 people
- One shower for every 25 people
- One wash basin for every 10/15
people - One disabled washroom for every 100 people.
Washroom sizes also vary according to local regulations, but you can use these general guidelines as a guide:
Washroom dimensions for non-disabled people
The minimum recommended bathroom dimensions are approximately 1.00 x 1.20 metres, with a door that closes from the inside. Showers should also be installed in rooms of at least 1.00 x 1.20 metres and should be equipped with a changing room. Disabled washroom dimensions

Building regulations in England to ensure that people are able to access and use buildings and their facilities are set out in the Equality Act 2010 and Building Regulations 2010 (Document Part M).

Bathroom Zero has a waste water tank to compensate for the lack of a sewer connection, a water storage tank connected to a rainwater collection system, and two photovoltaic panels to generate the electricity needed to light the bathroom. What kind of access can I install in the washrooms?
Entrance and exit systems for the washrooms depend on the needs of the customers and the area, which is why we offer several options.
Access can be free or paid, coin-operated or contactless with Nayax readers (you decide how much to set!).
Again, you can choose the access system by reading a QR code, a tax code or a EuroKey.

- Routine maintenance: cleaning and replenishment of consumables, typically twice a month
- Predictive maintenance: thanks to our powerful remote control tool we can intervene before components fail, reducing the time the washroom is inefficient.
- Technical maintenance: carried out by specialised technicians, it involves checking all the automatisms, usually once a month.
- Telephone support: active on working days, we provide assistance and intervene on the washroom, thanks to remote control, solving most of the problems.
Do you have a guarantee on your washrooms? For how many years?
Yes, all our washrooms are covered by a guarantee. By law, the warranty on manufacturing defects is one year, but we at SANO2 SOLUTIONS have decided to extend it to 2 years to give you greater peace of mind and security in your investment.
