Description:
The installation of the Divo H UK washroom with S5 technology in Walsall, UK, represents a leap forward in technological innovation and design for public services by SANO2.Ltd. This project was customised to meet the client’s specific requirements, ensuring compliance with UK accessibility and safety standards.
The monobloc structure of the Divo H UK model is made up of vibrated reinforced concrete panels produced by Prefabbricati Santerno, ensuring robustness and durability. What makes this installation unique is the use of brick cladding integrated into the panels themselves.
Normally, brick cladding is applied to walls after they have been constructed and assembled, but in this case the brick panels were placed directly in the mould and became part of the wall. This vandal-resistant finish required exceptional craftsmanship, far beyond standard practice.
Another outstanding feature of this intelligent washroom is its compliance with the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and its access system, which includes RADAR key recognition, widely used by disabled people throughout the UK. Inside, every detail is designed for maximum comfort: the washbasin is easily accessible from the washroom, stainless steel handles provide secure support, and natural light from a fire-resistant polycarbonate dome rooflight creates a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
The SANOSAFE® overnight ozone sanitisation system ensures a consistently clean environment by eliminating bacteria, viruses and odours without the use of environmentally harmful chemicals.
Touchless controls make this washroom “COVID FREE“, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
After each use, a complete cleaning and disinfection cycle begins, followed by automatic drying. The innovative SLEDTECH® device thoroughly washes, sanitises and dries the washroom bowl and surrounding area. Self-cleaning mechanisms include comprehensive floor cleaning with exceptional washing power and drying with the SCRUBBER® device, which uses integrated brushes to remove objects and dry the floor.
Safety of use is guaranteed by electronic weight sensors that accurately detect the presence of children, adults or multiple users, ensuring safe and correct use of the washroom.
Sustainability is also a priority, with efficient management of water resources. The rainwater collection system, which is collected in a single tank and integrated into the flushing system, is an example of our focus on sustainability in every aspect of design.
With its advanced features and remote management capabilities, this unit not only improves public services, but also sets the benchmark for future projects.
