Description:
Public washrooms in high-footfall areas truly make a difference
In places used daily by residents, commuters and tourists, public washrooms are not a mere detail, but an element that directly impacts the overall quality of the experience.
In the port of Saint Barthélemy, one of the busiest areas on the island, the need for reliable, consistently clean and ready-to-use public restrooms is both simple and essential, especially during peak times.
The data speak for themselves: when a service is useful, people use it
The data clearly confirm this. In the first 17 days of operation, the three public washrooms recorded 2514 uses, equivalent to about 7 visits per hour.
User satisfaction is even more telling: 98% of users were satisfied with the service. This result demonstrates how a well-designed infrastructure is recognized and used by the whole community.
Always-available public washrooms thanks to self-cleaning technology
To meet these practical needs, the Municipality of Saint Barth chose SANO2PAQUET, installing three indoor automated units, equipped with S5 self-cleaning technology.
The value of this installation lies primarily in its continuity of service: facilities which are always available, ready to use and capable of maintaining high standards even during peak periods.
An experience designed for all: simple, accessible and hygienic
The facilities are designed to be intuitive, safe and accessible. A unit dedicated to people with reduced mobility ensures inclusive access, while touch-free systems help to make the experience more hygienic and comfortable.
Every element is designed to simplify usage and enhance the perception of cleanliness, making the facility suitable for a wide range of users.
Alongside the user experience, technology plays a central role in ensuring continuity of service. The self-cleaning system operates automatically after each use, maintaining consistent hygiene standards and reducing the need for manual intervention.
This makes it possible to uphold high hygiene standards even in environments characterized by frequent and continuous use.
Quick installation with minimal impact on the urban environment
From an installation perspective, this project also meets the typical needs of high-footfall areas. The construction systems ensures quick installation with non-invasive works, reducing the impact on the surrounding area and the daily flow of the port.
This represents a clear advantage when integrating the units into active, already busy spaces.
Materials designed to withstand maritime environments
In a maritime setting, the choice of materials ensures durability and long-term resistance, helping maintain high performance level even in challenging conditions.
Urban Quality: the impact of self-cleaning toilets
The installations in Saint Barthélemy demonstrate how an essential service can become a tangible element of urban quality.
When public washrooms are designed with people in mind, their value is recognized, used and appreciated. Improving public spaces means, above all, improving the experience of those who use them every day.
